We recycle cardboard and unusable clothing. This long-standing program helps our stewardship of God's creation and reduces the amount of trash we generate.
Your unusable clothing may still benefit others. Our recycling partner will reuse 60% of these clothes and donate them to developing countries. Then 38% will be used as rags in commercial and industrial settings. Only 2 % will not be recycled but disposed of with as little environmental impact as possible.
The Hope Center recycling facility is located across Prospect Street from our main building. If you have items that need recycling, please check the times listed below, along with acceptable items. You may also donate old clothes at our regular donation dock if you put them in a bag marked as RAGS. If you have any questions, please call 301-739-1165.
